Fabian graduated from the University of Queensland in 2012. He commenced his veterinary career as a rotating intern, which was followed by a surgical internship at Queensland Veterinary Specialists. After some years in emergency practice, Fabian moved to WA to undertake a surgery specialty traineeship at Murdoch University. During this time, he also completed a Graduate Diploma in Tertiary and Adult Education and attained membership status in the Small Animal Surgery Chapter of the Australian and New Zealand Collage of Veterinary Scientists.

In 2021 Fabian completed a small animal surgery residency at Murdoch University. During his residency, he also completed a Masters in Veterinary Clinical Studies. Fabian is completing a research Masters in bone plate biomechanics and working towards completing board examinations with the European College of Veterinary Surgeons. Fabian’s surgical interests lie in all things surgery, but has a soft spot for orthopaedics/neuro and abdominal surgery. His interests outside of work include anything outdoors (hiking, camping, fishing, diving), fitness and DIY projects.
