Haley Vanderhilst

Nurse Educator

Haley is a qualified veterinary nurse from New Zealand (don’t hold that against her), who moved to Sydney four years ago. She has fallen in love with the culture and way of life here and does not intend on returning to New Zealand anytime soon.

Haley has been nursing in general practice for the past three years and recently made the move into emergency and specialist care which she is extremely passionate and excited about. Haley has a great interest in exotic and wildlife species and spent a number of years working with an array of different species, from animals as big as Salt Water Crocodiles to ones as small as Cotton Top Tamarins. This has given her a solid understanding of their care when they are unwell and is always excited when unique animals come into the clinic.

Haley’s love and passion for animals has contributed to her choice of living a vegan lifestyle. In her spare time she loves creating and trying new vegan recipes, as well as going to the beach, exploring markets and relaxing in a yoga studio.

Haley is a slave to her rescue cat Ninja who she adopted two years ago, but knows Ninja’s loyalties lie with her partner Martin.
