Beatriz arrived in Australia in 2008 to study a Masters Degree at the University of Sydney, which she graduated with high distinction. After finishing her masters, she has passed the National Veterinary Examination to be able to practice in Australia. Since then she has mostly worked in the emergency department, enduring night shifts and working closely with medicine specialists.

Coming from a tropical country, where majority of consultation are skin related she has gained a good exposure and knowledge in skin disease.

Beatriz’s interests include all topics of small animal and emergency medicine, and hopes to gain further qualifications in Internal Medicine. In her free time, Beatriz enjoys training for triathlons and can be often seen cycling and running around the northern beaches. She also likes spending time with her husband, twin babies and her furry kids, including 2 rescued dogs and 1 cat.
