Emergency Vet Appointments
If you are in Sydney and your animal is in need of emergency attention or is being transferred from your regular vet clinic, you may come directly to Sydney Vets without an appointment.
If it is practical and time allows, please call us and provide a brief description of the problem and your estimated time of arrival. This will allow our staff to prepare to treat your pet.
Please bring any relevant medical documents, a list of medications that your animal is currently prescribed and a list of known allergies with you if possible.
If your pet has swallowed a toxic substance please bring the container or label with you as this helps us to treat your animal quicker. If the toxic substance is a foodstuff, then please let us know what it was.
The more information we have prior to your arrival, the better.
Animals requiring hospitalisation will be admitted for overnight care. Less critically ill or injured animals are treated and discharged as outpatients as appropriate.
Please note that Sydney Vets operate under a triage system and patients are attended to in order of the severity of emergency. Please be patient while you and your pet wait to be seen.
