After doing work experience for school at her local general practice Natalia knew Veterinary Nursing was where she wanted to go as soon as she completed year 12. Natalia started nursing in 2001 while studying part time at TAFE to complete her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, which she finished in 2003. She worked in general practice building her skills and knowledge for a few years then began to fall in love with our native wildlife and marine life so decided to dip her toe in at the Taronga Veterinary Quarantine Centre for 18 months.
Natalia enrolled in her BSc in Medical Science but quickly realised people were not her calling and jumped back in to vet nursing and has done 7 years of emergency work.
Natalia is currently undertaking MSc in Marine Sciences (professional snorkelling degree) while she works at SVES and looks forward to working with our sea life in the future. When not studying or working Natalia enjoys beach hopping around Sydney, kayaking around the harbour and playing netball.
