Our veterinary internal medicine team have expertise in diagnosing diseases of the immune, gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, urinary, endocrine, and pulmonary systems.

Pets experiencing symptoms that cannot be diagnosed or treated by your regular veterinarian can be referred to an internal medicine specialist for more specialised care.

At Sydney Veterinary Emergency & Specialists, we ensure the best care for our patients by emphasising a team approach to our cases. We’ll work closely with your veterinarian, as well as other specialists as necessary.

Our Philosophy of Pet Care

Once referred from your regular veterinarian, our internal medicine specialists will create a diagnostic plan by completing a thorough physical exam of your pet. Based on your pet’s needs, they will then develop a comprehensive treatment plan.

We commonly receive referrals for conditions including:
